I read the reviews which were mixed and thought we'd try it and see. The portions are HUGE! Food was very good! Staff was friendly and not at all rude or uninterested as some have stated. The dining area was clean. We enjoyed the food and went home full and happy. I had an amazing salad there and my family had pizza!!! I would go back for sure!!

If you like employees who seemingly don't give a rat's ass about your dining experience and halfway decent NY-style pizza, than this is the place for you. Nothing about this place will woo you, but if you live in Palm Harbor or Oldsmar, chances are that you will end up here at least once, especially if you're a fan of New York Pizza. They have the market cornered in the area, unless you want to drive over to U.S. 19 and hit up LoBosco's. I think they've got a decent product, but it's missing something and I couldn't put my finger on it. Maybe some salt in the dough? Different yeast-to-flour ratio? Not sure, but something was off. I've had the pizza here twice, and the first time it was room temperature. The owner of Repeal 18 brought some into the bar one night and I had a slice or two, and they tasted great. But hot and fresh in the pizzeria was unimpressive for some reason. I got a 16" because their 18" pies are for slices only. This wasn't a huge deal because I was unable to take down the whole pie anyway. I heated up a slice in my toaster over later at night and it was really good. Better than when it was fresh. So the moral of the story here is to avoid eating their pizza when it's fresh because it kind of sucks.

I used to love this place, now I'm done with it and won't be back. Last time counter girl and cook are having huge argument and manager has to tell them if they don't stop she's sending them home. Now I stop in 45 minutes before closing and no slices. Not to mention the canned mushrooms and spinach. Poor.

I've lived in Palm harbor a little over a year and have had the pizza from Ginos about 8 times now. If you order the round pizza you have a pretty good chance it will be ok,, but the Sausage is just sliced still in the case. I have never had it like that before. And I can say I really don't care for it at all. If you go with the ex,large square pizza well just don't it is just like a little cecers pizza at 3 times the price. The crust is way to thick and the topping don't even stick to the Bread I mean crust. I have switched to Queen pizza,, seems to be the best in the area.

This place definitely does not have the best pizza but it's the best pizza in the palm harbor area. Customer service is not too great but that won't stop me from ordering pizza here, given that there is no place better. Delivery usually takes about 45 minutes which is not bad. I usually order a large thin pie lightly cooked. If I do not tell them to lightly cook it then the cheese comes out over cooked and by the time it arrives to my house the cheese is cold and too chewy. I really wished I can give this place five stars but it wouldn't be fair. They need to up their customer service (we are not in NY).

Traveled outside my usual perimeter for dinner and ended up at Gino's due to a friends recommendation. On this busy Friday night there was a definite left hand doesn't quite know what right hand is doing vibe. However once our drinks arrived and were quickly followed by simple garden salads with a tasty vinaigrette (no dressing choice given) and mediocre garlic rolls things went smoothly. I had the best chicken Marsala I've ever put in my mouth. Delicious sauce with sliced mushrooms and chicken cutlets filled the plate. I had a side of pasta with their very flavorful house marinara. If I visit again I want my pasta in the Marsala sauce. It was that good. Gal at the check out counter was curt and unfriendly. I get it's a busy Friday night but let's just be nice, ok?

Calling all Floridians. Gino's NY Pizza is The Bomb. This is the best pizza in Florida. Yep that's right. This place rocks. Thin slice sweet awesome sauce and fresh mozzarella cheese. It sounds so simple but few do it as well as Gino's. I am so lucky to be so close to this place. Keep Rocking

Hit or miss NY style pizza. When it's good. It's awesome, but when it's not, it's just awful. Their eggplant pizza rolls and their tiramisu are good as well.

The pizza is very good! On the other hand their customer service SUCKS! We ordered carry-out and they forgot our dessert and promised to bring it back..yea that didn't happen. They are expensive and not worth the price..

Upon walking in I felt like I had just walked onto the dirty pizza scented streets of New York City again! The lack of give a damn was everywhere. On the wall hung a cute diorama of New York that had it's frame repainted along with everything inside as well. There was a shaker of pepper flakes with two flakes in it- the only one in the dining room. The salt and pepper caddies were covered in a veil of dust and curious grime. Now this is authentic! I'd had the pizza here before and it was good. I went with the mussels. Of course they were rubbery, fishy, and possibly micro waved but what do you expect? It's not like they're going to the market each morning for fresh mussels. They were swimming in a deep bowl of pesto garlic sauce with saw dust flavored parsley flakes added for pizzazz. I fished the mussels out and took the massive amount of pesto sauce home to slather onto my ashy elbows later that night. Can't wait to head back to this place for that authentic New York feeling that screams "you'll eat it, and like it, punk!"

Pizza was horrible. Cheese was like plastic. Canned mushrooms. An entire can of canned mushrooms on 1/2 of a large pizza. Pizza was cold when delivered also. I didn't even call because I didn't want a replacement of another crappy pizza. Won't be ordering from here again. Ever. If I could give it less than one star I would.

Use to love their pizza. The last time we ordered it was horrible. All three pizzas were bland . The white pizza "use" to have a hint of garlic. The last two ordered were like eating cardboard with no flavor at all. Same thing with my husbands green pepper and black olive pizza. He usually never complains but also said it was very bland and dry.

I love this place. The sauce is top notch. Everything about their pizza is worth ordering a pie. The baked ziti is phenomenal. Haven't tried any entrees, but if you're looking for an amazing pizza, order here.

I have been going to Gino's for many, many years and today they lost me and my family and friends as customers. After a mix up on a phone order the supposed owner first hung up on me then called my 85 year old father a liar when he said he went to their other location and they told him our order wasn't there either. I hope a 20 dollar order was worth hundreds of dollars in future business as well as good will that's lost over bad word of mouth. Haven't you ever heard that in service industry, your customer is always right?????

On Friday night, we called to pick up our pizza. Once a week, we either dine in or take out. Well, this time my husband ordered without me, picked me up, and I asked to go in. I wanted the app, salad, drinks and dessert to celebrate the end of a long week. When we arrived, we explained we'd like to stay in and of course would order plenty more (not just a pizza.) A short, rather unfortunate-looking wash-woman type with dishwater-blonde colored hair flew out of the dining room as though she was expecting a confrontation (?) and informed us, "We are almost full. And we don't do that." Perplexed, I said, "Don't do what? We'd like to have full dinner with drinks, appetizer, and dessert, etc." She repeated what she just said. I was speechless. We paid for our pie and left as four or five other customers waiting for their orders watched and were also confused. We should have just left that pie and told them to stick it, but I was so caught off guard by this woman's odd response. I simply said that we would not be having our weekly runs to Gino's anymore. The Tampa road place has never been a wonderful experience for us-- orders always wrong, older server very slow and distracted, and very unwelcoming. The OTHER one, on 19, very different experience. Always courteous and friendly and professional and the food outside of the pizza is decent, whereas Tampa road is just gross. Very interesting, though, that Gino's Pizza gave that woman the authority to decide that a server would not receive our tip that night, nor Gino's make the extra money they would have made on the full dinner, appetizer, drinks and dessert we told them we would be ordering if seated. Our weekly run is done. We will find a place who doesn't refuse its guest service.

Same time last year, five stars without question. This is the second cheese calzone I have bought (Tampa Road location) in the last couple of months. I am so disappointed, it seems the quality that was once there is gone. $9+ and there is half the cheese there used to be and it's misshapen and flat, both times. Looks.like a pretty new staff, I don't know whats going on but the shop is in desperate need of a quality check.

Great NY-style pizza, in fact, the best I've found in Pinellas county. The sauce is great and the crust is thin with just the right bite. Not too much garlic, either. Always fast and courteous - thanks!

We ordered 2 pizzas to pick up. Got there and 1 pizza was wrong. They tried pushing the wrong pizza and made it clear they weren't happy about making the correct pizza. Got home, the white pizza with spinach and tomato was bland. Other pie was tasty. Their attitude and customer service absolutely sucks and the food is a mixed bag.

The pizza is very good but they will not take any orders 15 before they close so they usually stop answering the phone. One time, I called at 9:00 not remembering that's when they did in fact close and person who answered was pretty darn rude. Answered the phone rudely saying "Gino's Tampa Road we're closed!" Then just hung up. Hello people, if your going to be rude just don't answer! Love the pizza just not the "NY" attitude.

After driving around the Tampa Road/Curlew area tonight for 45 minutes I finally saw a Pizza place with the letters NY in the window and pulled over. I lived in NY, and I LOVE NY style pizza. This place is the best you'll get in Clearwater. I'm sitting here now eating a Bacon, Onion, and Pepperoni pie and loving every bite. So much so I got excited and decided to try typing with my greasy NY Pizza fingers just to tell you all about it. The other good part though... the family feel. I moved here recently and hate the area and more importantly hate the food here. Let's be honest Clearwaterians... you are terrible foodies. This place however has reassured me that good food still exists and that it still exists in a feel good place. The girl working the counter was charming, funny, and quite possibly one of the cutest girls I've seen yet in Florida. The owner's son, as well as the other 2 guys working were equally nice and made the whole place feel very relaxed. So much so that when they screwed up the toppings on my pizza I didn't mind a bit and just enjoyed hanging out for a bit while they fixed it. I'll definitely be frequenting this place, especially if the cute girl is working the counter :)

I stopped by Gino's last week with a guest for a late supper. This Gino's location is at the corner of Tampa Rd. and Lake St. George, while the sister Gino's store is located north of Alderman on US Hwy 19. Gino's reflects a good family atmosphere, and the decor is nicely appointed. The menu here is very large, and it took a while to check everything out. You can find the menu on their website, and it is filled with dozens of pasta/chicken/veal/seafood entrees, along with hot and cold subs. The sausage parmigiana sub sounded great, but as I'm always on the lookout for a good local pizza joint, we decided on a large Neopolitan pizza with mushrooms, green pepper and onions, along with an order of garlic rolls. The garlic rolls came out almost immediately, covered with lots of garlic and butter. They were good, but the flavor had something strong that did not set well with my taste buds. At the time I supposed it was just extremely strong garlic, but it may have been in the dough. I regret not asking immediately what it was, as the pizza came out with the same strong flavor. It took healthy doses of the oregano and parmesan provided to knock it down, but eventually I found a nice mix. The rest of the flavors of sauce, cheese and veggies were excellent. Even after bringing the rest of the pizza home, for the life of me I couldn't figure out what the strong flavor was, but again, some doses of Italian seasoning, parmesan, and red pepper flakes finally found a nice balance. I'd like to stop by again to find out what that flavor was and see if they can hold it out for me. If that was gone, I would have rated the pizza & garlic rolls much more highly. I definitely want to try that sausage parmigiana sub, too. My scores on the local pizza joint scale: Atmosphere: 4 Service: 4 Food: 3 Value: 4

I was leary about Florida pizza but was pleasantly surprised. Good pizza, great service, excellent food. I've had the chicken parmesan, chicken sorrentino, chicken francaise and shimp parmesan all excellent. The only downfall is their salad. Lack luster, warm lettuce with some onion slices, a grape tomato and black olive. I say skip the salad and enjoy the complementary garlic rolls.

Good service.... The pizza is sometimes delicious, sometimes soggy. Consistency is lacking. Also, I strongly recommend they make their own salad dressing instead of ordering from a distributor. Just my opinion, however I do think a quality salad dressing makes all the difference in the world before dinner.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.
